Econ Bites: Brock Stoddard on the Economics of Public Goods

Dr. Siyu Wang spoke with Dr. Brock Stoddard on the economics of public goods as part of ISEG’s ongoing “Economics Bites on the Go” series.
Dr. Brock Stoddard graduated with his PhD in economics from Indiana University in 2013. He worked at the University of South Dakota for four years before moving to Appalachian State University in 2017. He received tenure and promotion in 2020 and is now an associate professor of economics.
His research primarily examines social dilemmas (such as public goods and common-pool resources) using experimental methods. He has published in journals such as American Economic Journal-Microeconomics, Journal of Public Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.
