Dr. James Broughel presented to Wichita State University entrepreneurship students outlining how Kansas can streamline its administrative rules process. Check out the policy paper at the Mercatus Center.
James Broughel is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and an adjunct professor of law at the Antonin Scalia Law School. He specializes in regulatory institutions, cost-benefit analysis, and the impact of regulations on economic growth.
Broughel is author of the book Regulation and Economic Growth: Applying Economic Theory to Public Policy. His writing has appeared in popular outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post. He is also a columnist at Forbes and a regular contributor for The Hill. He has published in scholarly journals, including Regulation & Governance, Contemporary Economic Policy and the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy: Federalist Edition.
Broughel received his PhD in economics from George Mason University and his BA and MA in economics from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
