After graduation, Brady joined Koch Industries. As an International Freight Coordinator, Brady would work in the Transportation Module of SAP to split and plan orders for international ocean transit. After requesting the bookings through Infor Nexus (GTNexus), he would support the dray and warehouse team by maintaining close and organized communication about changes that occurred. Brady then used either SAP’s GTS feature or the Census Bureau’s portal to submit export customs filings. After providing the ocean carriers with shipping instructions, he would ensure the shipment went smoothly and would take any corrective actions as necessary.

Brady leveraged his knowledge as an International Freight Coordinator to assume responsibility for key accounts. In this position, he was responsible for the strategic planning and execution of multi-million dollar cargo. Through the use of PowerBI and Excel, he would provide data-driven operational insights to the customer’s leadership and propose strategic methods to minimize risk and stabilize the supply chain. Brady also assumed became the business contact for iTOPS, a transportation management system that worked alongside SAP to plan and execute shipments. He would work with developers to integrate system enhancements and provide the best user experience possible.

After moving to an analyst position, Brady became responsible for submitting RFQs for both long- and short-term volumes. He specialized in ad hoc and project cargo moves, leveraging a wide network of carrier-direct and 3PL contacts to resolve the most urgent and unique of business needs. He offered supply chain strategy consulting alongside developing monthly reports for executives and managers to stay in-tune with the dynamic nature of the post-pandemic ocean market. Additionally, Brady worked as an agent to onboard several customers–securing contracts from carriers, establishing primary and alternate shipping lanes, as well as integrating them into KBX TM (formerly iTOPS).

Brady currently works at KBX, the designated freight forwarder for Koch Industries. He leverages his formal education in International Business & Economics to provide supply chain consulting, commercial analysis, and facilitate international ocean shipments across the world.

Brady majored in Economics and International Business with a minor in French. He enjoys stargazing, reading, watching documentaries, and listening to National Public Radio in his free time.
